The Muckrakers are a rock band from Long Island, NY. They formed in 2011, released their debut album, "Dirty Water," in 2016, their follow-up EP, "The Album's Off" in 2018 & "Quarter Life Crisis," in 2021. The Muckrakers also founded the annual Music / Art / Video Game Festival, "Munoz Stock," an Event Booking company, Munoz Stockin' Events & Rental Company called Munoz Stock Rentals.
Vocalists, Kyler Sane and Shanon Munoz, mix melodic singing with metal-influenced vocals. The band boasts creative and catchy guitar riffs, driving and standout basslines and the impressive drumming of Jonathan Hoffmann. In addition to their vocals, Kyler is the guitarist and Shanon slaps the bass.
The Muckrakers’ sound evolves from song to song, while maintaining their signature eclectic style. They've drawn inspiration from all types of music; from metal to dance music, pop to punk and funk to jazz. This often makes it hard to draw comparisons between their sound and that of other bands. However, a few that have been made include Linkin Park, CKY, Children of Bodom, AFI, NOFX & Black Flag.
