UK Music Blog, SunStock Music networks with unsigned musicians around the world, discovers great music, and brings bands and artists to be heard by other musicians and listeners worldwide. The blog also has weekely podcasts (which Space4Lease will be featured in two this month) as well as interview sessions and album reviews.

As the month of July opened and SunStock looked for a new feature, the writer, Amy Naylor, came across Space4Lease and got in contact with us, the band, to see if we were willing for a feature. Of course that was fine with us. This serves as our first UK exposure in the cyberworld venture, which we are most ecstatic about! Beneath is the verbatum review given by the SunStock Music Blog!

''These guys somehow mange to fill their sound with so much suspense and eeriness, and still create a chill yet somewhat groovy feel. (Yep, I'm still using groovy)

Thanks again for Checking in with Space4Lease! We'll be back shortly with more updates!
Walt here from Space4Lease.
~These last couple weeks have been incredibile for the band. As of a little less than three weeks ago, Space4Lease has picked up a new member to the band, Drummer Wes Belk has joined the crew and we couldn't be more happy with the path were headed down and the longevity of what we have going.
....................................................................................................................................
~~We've had four big shows in the last two weeks, starting with our show at the Deli in Norman Oklahoma with Norman Allstars, Regg and Blame it On the Boogie. This show was considered as our most anticipated show to date. We started off the night with our first gig with new drummer Wes. Grayson and myself immersed ourselves in the chemistry, first sign that Wes was sticking around. After we finsihed our set, debuting three new tunes, we recieved the most crowd reaction to date. Regg took the stage after us, as well as Blame it On the Boogie closing the night. I believe those were the best sets i've seen out of those two bands to date! Such an incredible night especially since over 150-200 people came and danced throughout the night!
....................................................................................................................................
~~~Moving on, two days after the Deli, we found oursleves in Red Oak, Oklahoma at the State wide softball tournament (intersting enough) to be apart of the Woodlvnd Labs Recording Studio artist showcase. A large stage was constructed with professional lighting, a banging sound system and 2 bands and 2 Rappers ready to show the people of the tournament what we were about. For such a small town, there was a large group in the front of the stage, people in their chairs behind them and cars lining the back of the parking lot with attendees, in the beds of their trucks. The night was magical.
....................................................................................................................................
~~~One week later, I recieved a phone call from our great friend Troy Chesier, from Regg, about filling in for a band who had to cancel their gig. We were all in! 36 Hour notice, No Biggie! That night, Friday the 27th we took on VZDs, a venue thats been around OKC since the early early 80's. We were informed that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers played that same stage on one of their first tours, as well as Bo Diddley.We met some new faces that night, as well as new friends.
....................................................................................................................................
~~In Two days we took on Two venues that 6 months ago I never would imagined we step foot on so quickly.
Last night, Saturday the 28th, Space4Lease embarked on Fusion Night with incredible acts Paseo Street Walkers and [PEACH] at the Bricktown Music Hall. A very intersting stage which appears as almost a TV screen to the crowd, there is a cut out in the wall to connection two rooms which one room serves as a stage and on the other side is the Bar and Crowd space. It gave the night such an interesting awesome feel. We also met some new faces at the Music Hall, as well as made new connections with the other artists of the night.
....................................................................................................................................
~On a final note, Space4Lease and Rap friends Fresh, Jakobi Isham, and Jedidiah have taken great interest in our Debut EP "Behind the Day's Light." We are currently in the process of a concept remix EP. Fresh has written two verses to Remix our 2nd track on the EP "Weekend Love." Our great friend and beat producer WorseThanGood, Robert Robinson, sampled and remixed our song "the Wrap." This will serve as a platform for Fresh and Jedidiah to provide their own lyrical massacre on. We couldn't be more excited to take our own creations and bring them full cirlce to speak to the OKC, the Oklahoma, and the National Rap scene.
....................................................................................................................................
~Thats about all for now, We're setting dates for out of state shows at the moment, as well as time to get back in the studio and begin our next release. Thanks for checking in!
