Southern Emperor (www.realsuperproducerz.com), birth name Rico Gibson, started doing music at the age of 4yrs old at the United House of Prayer for all people under the tenure of Bishop McCullough, in Macon Ga. Rico progressed through the years as a "multi-instrumentalist." Rico now plays "all" brass instruments, piano and drums fluently.
After, hearing Outkast, Rico decided he was going to be a rapper and producer. He performed with close friend and rhyme partner Dondrell Williams. After the duo, split up due to life issues, but remaining close friends, Rico landed his first label deal in '95 with Brabijam Records. However, in the middle of working on his 1st gospel rap album, God ignited the passion in him to produce. From there, Rico has been supplying many underground and commerical artists with his music. Rico currently has songs he’s produced on Zomba and throughout the Indy music market.
