Saints of Rebellion’s first full-length release ‘New American Dream’ is the collaborative effort of four exceptional musicians who succeed in synthesizing the best elements of their respective genres. The result is a captured energy and intensity that showcases the band’s undeniable talents.
Saints of Rebellion is fronted by singer Coby DeShazo. DeShazo hails from Huttig, Arkansas, and his southern charm is as captivating as his smoky, soulful vocal stylings. DeShazo is a commanding front man whose versatility is second only to his ability to completely immerse himself with the music.
Guitarist John Adams, born and raised in Southwest Florida, is a fearless musician who isn’t afraid to put some power behind his sound. A life-long “metal-head”, Adams carries with him the musical authority similar to that of Zakk Wylde, Slash or Rich Ward.
Rounding out Saints of Rebellion’s rhythm section are the dynamic-duo, brothers Jay and Anthony Hitaffer from Baltimore, Maryland. These brother musicians have performed together for decades, creating a symbiotic percussive unit that is the driving force behind the band. Jay’s skills on back-up vocals and keyboard also aid in building Saints of Rebellion’s melodic and tonal ambiance.
Saints of Rebellion’s sound has been compared to a mixture of Black Label Society and Black Stone Cherry, and has been labeled as modern day southern rock. It is a sound that excites a wide-range of audiences, appealing to fans of arena rock and heavy metal.
Brought together by Baltimore label HighVolMusic, Saints of Rebellion entered the recording studio in January 2014. ‘New American Dream’ was recorded at The Recovery Room in Conway, Arkansas and produced by Bo Hill protégé, Ty Simms. What resulted was a high-quality industry sound that gained the attention of Megaforce Records and Sony/RED Distribution. ‘New American Dream’ was released in July 2014 and is available in stores nationwide.
