Lisa Lee Albritton grew up in the small town of Poplarville, Mississippi and Mississippi has quite a reputation for its legendary music, having produced some of the biggest names in blues, rock, and country. Could Lisa Lee Albritton be next in line?
While just in her teens, Lisa made her first trip to Nashville to perform at Opryland and she knew right then, this is where she wanted to make music! In 2007, she co-founded an award winning band that played all over the Southeast including performances at The Hard Rock Roadhouse in Biloxi and Tootsie's Lounge in Nashville. In 2012, after winning their second Covey Award for Best Country Band, CMA member, Lisa Lee Albritton decided it was time to focus on her solo career. Tootsies had taken notice of her in her prior appearance there and invited her to participate in CMA Fest with their backing. Seizing the opportunity, she not only rocked packed houses at their mega Honky Tonk Central and Rippy's locations, but became quite an attraction by the second day of autograph signing at the Tootsies booth in Fan Fest hall...right alongside her idols.
Lisa began working under the direction of producer David Grey, also a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, about 7 years ago. David's experience as an artist, songwriter and producer in Nashville and the mutual admiration that he and Lisa share for each other, has resulted in some amazing studio sessions. There latest collaboration a duet, show’s off her vocal ability and a sound that is hard to deny. “We’re Out of Here” is Lisa’s second release to country radio. Her first release “Hold on” penned by Grey and Marlee Scott, was received so well it was added to almost 200 stations nationwide, including the Armed Forces Radio Network.
