About The ICE

Retro Super Futuristic R&B?

What a peculiar genre of music to make in this day in age of the music? That's exactly what this 24 yr old Queen City native brings to the art of music:

With such a heavy focus on streaming music, this artist GUARANTEES that if you hear and like his music, you WILL buy it.

Simple.

Introducing Ice Montgomery.

Targeting adults who frequent skating rinks across the southeast US, his grooves have somehow transcended the rinks and into bowling alleys, celebration stations and family reunions. Those who lack exposure and understanding to his style of music may describe it with, "a new school substance, enhanced by an old school flavor." Ask Ice to describe his music, he'll tell you, "only familiar groovy head bangers pollute his catalog." A thorough listen to his catalog and one can connect an influence of Snoop, Pharrell, to even newer classes of artists like Skooly and Dom Kennedy!

A God-gifted hand drawing artist himself, Ice, (also an acronym for "Ice Cold Emo") has evolved his creative release from the drawing pad to the recording booth! So let's dig into a lil' history for those interested in the background of Ice Montgomery!

Wayyyy back in 2008, he was impressed by a rap/dance supergroup "Show Stoppas" who were most commonly known around the city of ATL for their hit song & dance, "Whoop Rico." Seeing their success inspired "the Cooler One," to replicate their model of marketing by promoting his singles on funky shirt designs, & eye-popping graphics!

(Be sure to text Ice for a free sticker! # is on Contact page.)

Upon moving back to his hometown of Charlotte, he instantly rose to prominence in the underground industry as a reckoning force. Evident of his championship status claimed during the 1st-ever 106 and Park taping in the Carolinas. Over 1000+ artists auditioned for the rap competition yet that did not stop Ice from coming out on top! A signature event because til this day, he is still the undisputed and current reigning champ of the Queen City! Thanks to this exposure, he became one of the first artists in Charlotte music history to grace the interview realm of Streetz 103.3 effectively paving a way for succeeding local talent.

Cut to 2016, Ice is planning a creative comeback into the industry. His return to Atlanta has spurred a permanent hosting gig on the notorious TakeOverTV show. His connections to both Charlotte and Atlanta makes him the most revered entertainment act to bridge the gap since Cam Newton!

(Fun fact: Did you know that Ice is a distant relative to the NFL superstar, now reigning MVP?)

Like a true star, his most prized concept on his rise to stardom is his utilization of his live performance! If you've never seen this 'Ice Cold' brotha perform live then you are definitely missing out! With hits like, "Don't Look at Me", "Show Me Some Money", and "Chains and Rangs", at his disposal, there's no way those 'Icey Emo' waves can fumble your ears once given a listen!

With the announcement of his forthcoming release, "The Skate Album", one could only ask that you roll up a fat sack of dat "Funky Fii" and enjoy his grooving energy! It's Ice Montgomery! (Ice Cold Emo what dey callz 'em-- Too Icey Emo if ya nastyyyy! *Martin's Jerome voice*)
