Two things have been consistent in Dan Perichino's life: music and overcoming adversity.
Growing up in a small town in Maine, Dan would turn to drugs while attending high school to provide an outlet. Dealing and becoming addicted to pain pills, in addition to overdosing, Dan circled back to the medium he loved before his substance abuse as a way to meditate on his life and focus beyond addiction - music. Over time he would become serious about his craft and would begin to seriously produce. In 2011, Dan moved to Orlando, FL, where he would encounter yet another obstacle on his path to music stardom: Stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma, a form of blood cancer.
Diagnosed shortly after coming to Orlando, Dan became hellbent upon not only beating cancer, but make a serious impact in the music scene in not just Florida, but worldwide. While undergoing intensive chemotherapy, Dan immersed himself into his craft and began to impose his will musically. His beats over time would gain exposure, including but not limited to personalities and employees of Orlando's number 1 hip-hop station, 102 Jamz (101.9 FM). It wasn't too long before the denizens of Downtown Orlando would begin to recognize Dan's beats from clubs and bars across the city, and his music would gain airplay on FM radio and online stations throughout the country. In this time, Dan, still fighting for his life and undergoing radiation treatment would create "The Colour", an EP.
Today, Dan is cancer free and more focused than ever on making an innovative sound while simultaneously building a globally recognized brand, expanding his social media foot print with thousands of followers. For a man that has never shied away from a challenge, Dan Perichino is more than ready to take music to new heights.
