PEEL REGION'S DEMOLITION RAGE IS MAKING NOISE!!!! Back in the late 90's the band "Damn Nation" was starting to make it's climb to an "A" status when band members changed and soon thereafter, the act Demolition Rage was born. DR came out as a recording project band & a meeting of the minds back in 2000 with a wide variety of influences and styles coming together. They fully experimented with sounds and the uniqueness of each individual player, truly adding a personal feel or touch to the recording project. Brought a lot of creative ideas to life and out of the collaborating came the bands 1st CD "MURDER BY NUMBERS" and not too long after that, their 2nd CD was birthed "NO ROOM FOR SILENCE." This band's background is outstanding, having pleasures of sharing the same stages in the past with Iron Maiden, Motor Head, Dio, 3 Days Grace, I Mother Earth, Kim Mitchell, Slick Toxic, Lee Aaron, Famous Under Ground with Nick Walsh (formerly of Slick Toxic), twice opening for ANVIL, opening for a sold-out show with the Killer Dwarfs, OPENING for 2-time Juno nominees and Much Music Awarded Canadian ICONs SVEN GALI Oct. 2nd, 2020. Performed previously at Edge 102, Tweed Trudeau Park Festival, Ontario Place Amphitheater, & Headlined 2 years back to back in 2016-2017 with the Peterborough L.I.V.E Music Festival. BRAND NEW Album #3 in recording stages, STAY TUNED!
BAND MEMBER BIOS:
Founder/Songwriter/Guitarist/Back-Up Vocalist ~ FABIO LA ROCCA ~ is from the Peel Region, he started playing at 17 years of age with his self-built custom Strat. He started writing songs similar to Pink Floyd in the beginning. Later down the road, he bought an 87' Vintage and a 1987 Gibson Les Paul and both guitars he plays to this day. He has played for 33 years, played in a band by the name "Overload" back in school moving onto “Night Swan” (like a Steve Vai Van Halen), “Tempest Rage” (80s metal mix) followed then the highly successful “Damn Nation" which was his 1st original band as far as writing songs went. Then came Heart and Stone but, shortly thereafter it morphed into Demolition Rage in 2000 and carried tons of material yet to be recorded. With Demolition Rage off the ground, he decided it was time to lay down those unrecorded songs at Cactus Studios in Toronto, taking 8 months to record. The act had different players throughout the years. Fabio has performed with the same rhythm section now for the past DECADE as of September 2019, which includes drummer Cam Cathcart and bassist Kevin Brazolot. He wanted their sound to be hard, but music that can be heard by all genres and all ages, not just Metal fans. Fabio states, "I write about events and experiences in my life and also in my peer's lives or about awareness of things to come. I create songs that don't all sound alike. Each song tells a story and is represented in its own way."
Bassist Extraordinaire ~ Peel Region's KEVIN BRAZOLOT (SIR BASSOLOT) was born into a musical family. Kevin began his interest in music at age 5 studying piano, by age 11 he registered for drums lessons for a year. Kevin then joined the music major program and was asked to play trumpet instead of drums, for the next two years in Jr High at King George in Guelph. In High School, Kevin entered the music major program at John F. Ross with 6 years of Trumpet, this program allowed him to learn other instruments. A year after High School, Kevin viewed 3 prominent bassists in action in the Guelph area, Mike Splint, Mike Duncan and Barry Bevins, confirming his strong interest to learn the Bass Guitar. Down the road, he was highly influenced by and was mentored with Mike Duncan (Anvil 1993-96) and quickly learned his new passion in bass guitar. Other influences include Geddy Lee of Rush, John Entwistle of The Who and Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. Skip ahead to 2016, Kevin has experienced over 23 years as a bassist playing in a variety of bands such as Altered State, Dirty Angel, Heart and Stone, Psychotic Authority, Demolition Rage (7 years & going strong) www.demolitionrage.com) and recent past Crossdockers. Kevin musically relates to Rush straight into the heavy metal sounds of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest & Pantera. Outside of playing bass, Kevin is a songwriter & back up singer, loves creating, performing and making that musical connection with his audience and seeing smiling happy faces. Hobbies for Sir Bassolot consists of inspiring children, rebuilding cars and mechanical work. Been Quoted as: "Kevin is the rhythm, primary bassist & backbone, coming from some serious Metal background with a thick fat pounding sound."
Percussionist ~ CAM CATHCART is from Downtown Toronto, Ontario. Cam got into music at the early age of 12, playing his 1st dance with the High School Band. At 15, he played with a Deep Purple Tribute. 1981, he joined The Rent Boys receiving their 1st of 2 full reviews in NOW Magazine. 1985, received another full review in NOW Magazine for his other band The Electric Fire Brothers. 1988-1991 Cam joined Blues band Steven C and The Red Rockets. During the 90's he played with various outfits like Cadillac Bill and those acts that had originality like Heart & Stone. Cam's been making music for 45 years, and the last 10 years straight Cam has been playing a Rogers kit with Demolition Rage.
NEWEST MEMBER ~ Frontman/Lead Vocalist ~ Mississauga's CHRIS BENNETT was born and raised in Buffalo, NY until the age of 25. He found out in his late teens that he had a natural gift for music and started to explore by playing keyboards and following in his father’s footsteps and playing drums. His greatest talent, though, was vocals. He was personally taught to growl by Chris Barnes of Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under fame and modeled his style after Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory (Who he would later meet). At the age of twenty-five, Chris relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, and immediately landed a lead vocalist role with the band Tainted Faith (Dennis Huff of Las Vegas radio station KOMP 92.3 played guitar). He proceeded to jump from act to act for several years (Omination, As Gods Fall, Obsidian Core) until he landed playing bass for the local band 13 Down. What happened next was a dream comes true, as Chris was approached by Local metal giants Unforeseen to come and audition for their recently vacated lead vocalist position. The next four years of progressive thrash metal helped to elevate Chris vocally to the ranks of extreme metal vocalist (ability to scream, growl, and harmonize quickly). After the band disbanded in 2013, he went into retirement but never gave up refining his craft. Due to family commitments (and the desire to escape the desert southwest and the dead metal scene), Chris came up to Mississauga, ON, Canada. He looked for several months for venues to sample the local rock/ metal scene but to no avail. It was a simple email through bandmix.ca via Jam Chambers Studio North York, that brought Christopher “Arizona” Bennett and Demolition Rage together. The potential for brutal rock/metal sounds has increased incredibly with the addition of the now accomplished extreme metal vocalist from the desert and Ontario’s penultimate metal act. Look for new music coming from these guys that will make you rage once more!

Welcome aboard the Demolition Rage train Chris Bennett. Chris was born and raised in Buffalo, NY until the age of 25. He found out in his late teens that he had a natural gift for music and started to explore by playing keyboards and following in his father’s footsteps and playing drums. His greatest talent, though, was vocals. He was personally taught to growl by Chris Barnes of Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under fame, and modeled his style after Burton C. He proceeded to jump from act to act for several years (Omination, As Gods Fall, Obsidian Core) until he landed playing bass for the local band 13 Down. He stayed here for a year until one night, while doing mic check at the Fabled Joe’s Grotto in Phoenix, he performed a 30 second acapella version of Pantera’s Walk; getting the crowd riled up and upstaging vocalist Tony Down (Tony Christianos). He was released from the band the next day.
