Q&A with Cynthia Su: in Sydney, Australia:
When did you first realise your love for music?
As a child, I loved writing poetry. That love for poetry grew into a love for song writing. I wrote my first song when I was 14 years old. It was pretty cheesy and it was called "soulmate", I performed it at a talent quest.
What are your fondest memories of music?
The first song I remember singing was Que Sera Sera – I sang it to my mum when I was five years old. The first record I ever bought was Gloria Estefan's album "Cuts Both Ways" – I still have it to this day!
What do you love about music?
I love the power to express sensuality and emotion through song composition and lyrics. Music gives people the ability to affect emotion and conjure emotionalities in others. I find song writing very powerful. I cannot imagine a world without music – it would be like a world without colour.
What are you like off stage?
I have a lot of energy and laugh a lot! I’m naturally a curious person – I love meeting new people from all different cultures and hearing their stories and learning about their lives.
What is something that people may not know about you?
My parents were Vietnamese refugees who arrived in Australia in the late 70s. I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in Sydney. I am forever grateful for the opportunities that this beautiful country has given to me.
Other Points of Interest:
Her first record bought was Gloria Estefan's album "Cuts Both Ways"
Simply loves old school RnB and heavily influenced by female artist Mariah Carey. Both by her singing and composition style.
Cynthia Su has performed for a lot of charity events, fundraising for worthy causes helping countries overseas at times of natural disasters.
Joined a RnB/Hip Hop Dance group and won several competitions.
Has performed at large festivals as a cover soloist with backup dancers.
Entered several competitions and won prizes for performance.
Joined a pop/acoustic band called Ladacy and she won many competitions and continued to write originals. Music has been streamed live on Australian radio. Joined a band called 7Soulz and interviewed by Sydney radio station, 88.9FM.
Has been singing professionally, and more regularly within the last few years.
Grew up composing more "pop" sounds but slowly developed and honed her skills towards an RnB sound.
Now working on many original compositions and "fresh" sounds. I love all dynamic RnB sounds that have a tangible vibe and that bring something unique to the table. She loves working with producers who ideally can infuse a bit of Jazz/Hip Hop and Pop with RnB as a backdrop.
Loves the power to express her lyrical sensuality and emotionality through song composition and song lyrics.

STAR CHASER
c. Cynthia Su (Music) 2013.
(music under license to F.A.M.T.A Music Group)
Verse 1::
Many times I've tried to
Tried to find the strength to pull through
Looked in my heart for something more
Finally found what I was looking for
People would say no
Pre Chorus::
You're foolish for sure
Don't waste your time
Chasing mountains to climb
All I can do is try
Rather that not give it my all
Oh ooohhh
Chorus::
Carry on and be strong
For the times I tried to
To fight on
I moved on
Added strength to my soul
Learned from the past
Swallowed my pride
I reach for the stars
Verse 2::
Who would have thought I would be
Here in the moment to finally be
Funnily I struggled to
To get here right now a place that I can say
Chorus::
Carry on and be strong
For the times I tried to
To fight on
I moved on
Added strength to my soul
Learned from the past
Swallowed my pride
I reach for the stars

DNA
Verse 1
I know it's not right to text you
Right not call you, nor to think of you
Infatuation all consuming
Think of all the ways I knew you
It was only a night ago but my body keeps wanting more
Wanting you beside me, riding me through the evenin
Crazy lovin chemistry is a real find for me
I don't know what I'm gonna do with these feelings
Chorus::
It's in my DNA to want you
In my DNA to love you
If you were mine I'd be all over you
Wrap my body around you
Let my body feel the ecstasy
That I've never felt before
It's in my DNA to want you
Verse 2
Then you told me that you had a girl
My heart dropped and then I thought
Oh it could have been
Flipping amazing, mindlessly crazy
If you were mine I'd do you everyday
Lay me down or fall onto my knees
Now my minds messed up, and I can't get you outta my mind
U got a body hold on me
Chorus::
It's in my DNA to want you
In my DNA to love you
If you were mine I'd be all over you
Wrap my body around you
Let my body feel the ecstasy
That I've never felt before
It's in my DNA to want you
Bridge::
I know it's so wrong to love you
My body's yearning to be with you
I've lost all of my senses
Can't get u outta of my mind baby
Its so hard to find
it's in my D.N.A
Repeat Chorus::
