Alexie, a 24 year old R&B artist from Sunderland, UK.
“I believe that I can make a difference, I believe that is what I was put here to do, its my time. The industry isn't about being your 'average' star nowadays. I mean come on, look at me, I'm not exactly average am I? [laughs]”
Alexie is currently working on her first EP and has released her debut single: 'Please Don't Stop The Rain' – which so far, has some pretty good success includng selling copies in over TWELVE different countries, airplay on BBC Radio, SparkFM and London's Smoke Radio - is available to stream through the 'Music' tab, to download on iTunes and download throughout all major platforms. PDSTR, taken from her upcoming EP - The Butterfly Effect, entails the experience of growing up and all the difficulties which a teen encounters. Using rain as her release, to wash away the pain, Alexie gives her account on growing up and how she transformed from a self-loathing, unmotivated and worthless to powerful, determined and a success-hungry young woman.
The Butterfly Effect is most definitely a raw recollection of what she has lived in her life so far and how she feels about it. You can most definitely expect an extension of emotion, as expressed in PDSTR, throughout every track. This is something Alexie prides herself in, raw and pure emotional memory which she adapts into her songs.
Described as original, talented and absolutely captivating by Huffington Post, Alexie aims to be the next big thing across the UK music spectrum. She definitely has the passion and the drive to push further and succeed in her career.
With a collection of live performances under her belt, including the YNot? Festival, Derby and soon to be National Student Pride, London, Alexie is now currently gigging across the UK with an acoustic set and working on a full live set with a brand new band. Showcasing a variation of performances to bring versatility not only as an artist but as a performer. Looking to set her foundations properly in the industry, letting everyone know she is here to stay! Believe it, she is.
